Is my German Pension Refund taxable?
The German pension office will notify the German tax office (Finanzamt) about the amount you received as refund.
If your country has a TIEA (Tax Information Exchange Agreement), this information might be transferred.
If your German Pension Refund is taxable yes or no, depends on your local tax laws where you live.
As an extra income earned abroad it might be tax exempted but we recommend you to consult with your local tax consultant.
